Macaulay Culkin to Bring ‘Home Alone’ Screening Tour to Australia

The actor will appear in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney for big-screen presentations of the holiday classic followed by live moderated conversations.
Macaulay Culkin is heading to Australia for a three-city tour celebrating Home Alone.
The actor will appear in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney this November for Home Alone: A Nostalgic Night With Macaulay Culkin. Each event will begin with a big-screen presentation of the 1990 comedy, followed by a live moderated interview with Culkin.
The conversations will revisit the making of the film, Culkin’s memories from the set and the enduring appeal of Kevin McCallister, the resourceful eight-year-old accidentally left behind when his family travels overseas for Christmas.
The tour will open at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Tuesday, November 24, before visiting Melbourne’s Regent Theatre on Friday, November 27, and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Sunday, November 29.
Written and produced by John Hughes and directed by Chris Columbus, Home Alone became a global box-office success and established Culkin as one of the era’s most recognisable young stars. His performance earned him a Golden Globe nomination, and he returned as Kevin for the 1992 sequel Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
Culkin’s other screen credits include Uncle Buck, My Girl, The Good Son, Party Monster, Saved! and Changeland. More recently, he has appeared in American Horror Story and The Righteous Gemstones, and will feature in an upcoming season of Prime Video’s Fallout.
Away from acting, Culkin performed with comedy rock group the Pizza Underground and founded the media and entertainment brand Bunny Ears. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2023, recognising a screen career that began four decades earlier.
A limited number of VIP tickets will include a post-show photo opportunity with Culkin.
Pre-sale tickets will be available from 10am local time on Monday, September 21, until 10am on Wednesday, September 23. Fans can register through the tour sign-up page.
General tickets go on sale at 11am local time on Wednesday, September 23, through Destroy All Lines.
