Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul Are Bringing Their ‘Breaking Bad’ Live Show to Australia
The Emmy-winning stars will appear together in Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney before heading to Auckland in January 2027.
Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are heading Down Under for a series of live appearances celebrating the enduring legacy of Breaking Bad.
The Emmy-winning actors, who starred as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman in the acclaimed television drama, will visit Australia and New Zealand in January 2027 for an unguarded conversation about the roles that transformed their careers and forged a lasting friendship.
The tour begins at Brisbane Entertainment Centre on January 15, followed by appearances at Perth’s RAC Arena on January 18, Melbourne’s MCEC Plenary on January 22 and Sydney’s TikTok Entertainment Centre on January 25. Cranston and Paul will then travel to Auckland for a final show at NZICC’s Te Paeaea Theatre on January 28.
Appearing together in Australia for the first time, the pair will look back on the making of Breaking Bad, from the show’s demanding production schedule and desert locations to its most confronting, heartbreaking and unexpectedly funny scenes.
Created by Vince Gilligan, Breaking Bad ran for five seasons between 2008 and 2013. The series followed high school chemistry teacher Walter White, who turned to manufacturing methamphetamine after being diagnosed with cancer, and his former student and reluctant partner Jesse Pinkman.
The drama earned 16 Primetime Emmy Awards during its run, including four wins for Cranston as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and three for Paul as Outstanding Supporting Actor.
More than a decade after its finale, the series continues to be regarded as one of television’s defining dramas. The New York Times recently placed Breaking Bad at No. 1 on its list of the best television programs of the 21st century, based on votes from more than 500 actors, writers, directors, producers and other industry figures.
The live conversation will also move beyond the series, with Cranston and Paul discussing their lives away from acting, the advice they would offer emerging performers and the friendship that has continued since the show ended. The pair are also expected to share stories from their spirits business, Dos Hombres.
Tickets go on presale at 1pm local time on Wednesday, September 30, with general sales beginning at 1pm local time on Friday, October 2.
