The New York rock band will play Brisbane, two nights in Melbourne and headline the inaugural Sydney Summertime concert at Centennial Park.

The Strokes will return to Australia in February 2027 for four shows in support of their seventh studio album, Reality Awaits.

Presented by Secret Sounds and Live Nation, the tour opens at Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Feb. 13 before heading to Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena for two performances on Feb. 16 and 17.

The Australian run will conclude on Feb. 20 at Centennial Park, where The Strokes will headline the first Sydney Summertime concert alongside Beck, Courtney Barnett and Promiseland.

Barnett and Promiseland will also join the band for its Brisbane and Melbourne shows.

Sydney Summertime is a new limited series of standalone concerts staged at Centennial Park, bringing international headliners and Australian artists to the outdoor venue. The series will also feature a range of food and beverage offerings from Sydney restaurants, bars, food trucks and cellar doors.

The inaugural line-up sees Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Beck return to Australian audiences, while Barnett will perform with her new album, Creature of Habit, in tow.

Promiseland, the high-energy project of Johann Rashid, rounds out the bill. The artist is signed to Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas’ Cult Records and has built a reputation for his unpredictable and physically charged live performances.

The concerts will mark The Strokes’ first Australian headline shows since their sold-out 2022 tour. The band most recently appeared in the country as a headliner at Adelaide’s Harvest Rock festival in 2025.

Released through Cult Records and RCA Records, Reality Awaits is The Strokes’ first album since 2020’s The New Abnormal. Featuring the singles “Going Shopping” and “Falling Out of Love,” the record was produced by Rick Rubin and recorded in Costa Rica before being completed across several locations.

The band has supported the album with performances at Coachella and headline appearances at Bonnaroo, Outside Lands and Japan’s Summer Sonic.

General public tickets go on sale Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 1 p.m. local time. Artist, Mastercard and Vodafone presales begin Monday, Sept. 28 at 9 a.m., while Secret Sounds and Live Nation presales commence at noon that day. All presales conclude Tuesday, Sept. 29 at noon.
