Robbie Williams to Open Immersive Pop-Up Stores in Melbourne and Sydney Ahead of ‘BRITPOP’ Tour
Dubbed ‘Shoppie Williams’, the stores will feature original artwork, exclusive fashion, memorabilia and ticket giveaways as the British superstar prepares for his Australian stadium tour.
Robbie Williams is bringing more than music to Australia this November, with the British pop superstar announcing immersive pop-up stores in Melbourne and Sydney to coincide with his BRITPOP World Tour.
Dubbed Shoppie Williams, the stores promise fans an opportunity to explore the singer’s creative world, bringing together his art, fashion, music, football memorabilia and trademark humour.
The Melbourne store will open on Commercial Road in Prahran from November 1–11, while Sydney’s pop-up will operate on Oxford Street in Darlinghurst from November 7–14.
Among the attractions will be original artworks from Williams’ Radical Honesty exhibition at the Moco Museum, displayed in Australia for the first time, alongside previously unseen pieces from Inklings & Thinklings, a collection of the singer’s drawings accompanied by personal reflections and observations.
Fans will also be able to explore Williams’ fashion label Hopeium, with selected pieces available in Australia for the first time, alongside exclusive merchandise, vinyl records and memorabilia.
Daily ticket giveaways for Williams’ Australian concerts will also take place at both locations.
The pop-ups coincide with the Australian leg of Williams’ BRITPOP World Tour, which kicks off at Adelaide Oval on November 7 before visiting Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, Sydney’s Accor Stadium, Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium and Newcastle’s McDonald Jones Stadium, marking his first performance at the Newcastle venue.
The tour supports Williams’ latest album, BRITPOP, which arrived as a surprise release in January. Inspired by the British guitar-driven music scene of the 1990s, the record features collaborations with Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes, Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi, Mexican pop duo Jesse & Joy and Williams’ former Take That bandmate Gary Barlow.
Williams remains one of Britain’s most commercially successful recording artists, with more than 90 million albums sold worldwide, 16 UK No. 1 albums and 18 BRIT Awards, more than any other artist.
The Shoppie Williams concept offers another dimension to the Australian tour, allowing fans to engage with the singer’s creative pursuits beyond the concert stage.
